EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Identify the various mechanisms of action of FDA[1]approved immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and how they work as monotherapy and in synergy with other agents to treat cancer
• Explore FDA-approved indications as well as safety and efficacy data for ICIs in cancer treatment
• Distinguish immune-related adverse effects of ICIs from toxicities of traditional cytotoxic chemotherapy
• Apply special considerations for patients receiving ICI therapies to the safe and effective provision of preventive care, supportive care, and toxicity management in the community pharmacy setting
